Chef Terry Urpanil is the award-winning culinary genius behind our Notes & Provisions Restaurant and Bar. Bringing a creative and unique twist on classics including BBQ ribs, Jambalaya pasta and seafood, Chef Urpanil presents an authentic taste of Tennessee with modern flair. While beginning his culinary career in the Hawaiian Islands, Chef Urpanil honed his skills working with fresh, local ingredients. After relocating to San Francisco, those building blocks served to propel his career to dazzling heights as he took on new creative challenges. With a solid education at both the California Culinary Academy and Culinary Institute of America, Chef Urpanil has graced kitchens across America with his talents. Past appointments include: Country Clubs in Hawaii & the San Francisco Bay Area; 15 years with Marriott Hotels including NY Marriott Marquis in Times Square; Hyatt, Hilton, Westin, Crowne Plaza and Boutique Hotels; and the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel. Our celebrated Chef won three gold and silver medals at the Northern New Jersey Branch of the International Geneva Association, Northern New Jersey Branch, for his tallow centerpieces, as well as two bronze medals from the Societe Culinaire Philantropique in New York City.
